Upon a friendly meeting to celebrate Persian New Year on February 25, 2013, TUMS International students expressed their opinions about TUMS.

After the official lectures by TUMS authorities and representative from foreign countries, TUMS International students had the chance to talk about their experience of studying at TUMS.

 

Eden Yitna Teferedegn, an Ethiopian girl studying Physiology at Ph.D. level at TUMS, said: “Our country does not have an embassy in Tehran and now I am the representative of beautiful Ethiopia here!” Expressing her satisfaction regarding TUMS accommodation and extracurricular activities, Eden Yitna thanked the TUMS officials for giving them the chance to experience not only education but also good hospitality.

 

Aymen M.A. Elsons from Palestine studying Health Policy and Management at Ph.D. level at TUMS said: “I come from Gaza Strip. I’d like to say that the quality of education, accommodation, and support is really satisfactory. Since we have to stay long in Iran, we become homesick, so I suggested that admitting more students from the countries with cultural similarities could minimize this problem," he added.  Finally, he suggested that TUMS admit more students from Middle East Countries, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan and other countries, so that the international students can make friends and support each other.

 

Muhammad Imren Khan from Pakistan studying Pharmacology at Ph.D. level at TUMS tried to get the gist of his message into one-minute lecture. He expressed his satisfaction over the quality of education, accommodation, libraries and other facilities that TUMS has given to International students.  

 

At the end, Akubaru Drate MPH student from Uganda, and Vivek Kumar, MPH student from India stated that TUMS isone of the best universities in the region and they decided to choose TUMS because they knew Iranian culture, society and they trusted the quality of education at TUMS.
