TUMS, First Iranian Medical University Accredited by ASIC
Regarding a two-day visit to TUMS schools and facilities by the inspecting group in November 2012, International accreditation certificate was awarded by Professor John Wilson from ASIC to TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Mohammadreza Mansouri.
Vice-chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs (GSIA), Dr. Ali Kheradmand promulgated that TUMS has been the first medical university in the country to receive international accreditation. Further, he hoped that other medical universities and even universities under the supervision of Ministry of Science, Research and Technologies could gain the credit.
Dr. Kheradmand said that the University with the support of GSIA Vice-chancellor will peruse its international activities to take the bigger steps towards TUMS presence in the international arenas.
