European Board of Pediatrics Surgery at TUMS

TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Mohammadreza Mansouri warmly welcomed the guests and briefly introduced the University in four categories: history of TUMS, TUMS today, education, research, innovation. "International initiatives such have been considered as our major priorities during recent years," Dr. Mansouri added. 
Professor Gian Battista Parigi, President of European Board of Pediatrics Surgery (FEBPS), took the podium and said, "I take the opportunity to thank TUMS Chancellor and to appreciate the well-equipped system in Bahrami Hospital and Children's Medical Center, and I would like to mention that at TUMS I found a very good system of libraries and access to excellent level of medical sciences."
"As we approved pediatric centers in Cairo, Egypt, Emirates and Kuala Lumpur, we think that we can have these two Iranian hospitals as the centers of Pediatric Surgery in the region," he added. In addition, he evaluated the level of activities such as esophageal artesian surgeries overwhelming in accordance to European standards.

Emphasizing on being overwhelmed by Iranian hospitality, Dr. Piotr Czauderna called his travel to Iran very cooperative and friendly. Further, he hoped for a good, solid and perfect cooperation, and stressed that they had been impressed by the activities done in the two children's hospitals. "Some of the facilities have very good quality, and it is a pleasure to see such facilities outside Europe and the Western world, for instance TUMS Children’s Medical Center with its very new and very well-equipped facilities such as the PICUs and NICUs can be the main center in the region," he said.
The two distinguished guests promised to convey the message of collaboration to the European Board of Pediatrics Surgery and try to develop the ways of bilateral ties.
