KRG Delegation Meet with GSIA Vice-Chancellor
Upon an invitation by TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs (GSIA), the distinguished delegate Dr. Adil Talib Mohammed, Head of Basic Sciences, Dr. Nahida Mahmud Ahmad, Dean of School of Nursing, Dr. Khalis Sabri Ammoo, Dean of School of Medicine, Dr. Hishyar Mohammed Salih Hussein Garmavy, Head of the Duhok School of Pharmacy, were warmly welcomed by Dr. Ali Kheradmand, TUMS Vice-chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs and some other GSIA authorities.
The friendly meeting was followed by presentations given by Dr. Ali Kheradmand, TUMS Vice-chancellor and Dr. Nahida Mahmud Ahmad, Dean of KRG School of Nursing to promulgate the international mission and vision of both Duhok University and Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
"As sharing knowledge and resources with academic communities throughout the world is a priority for TUMS international mission, we are honored that the KRG delegation from Duhok University chose to visit TUMS as they expressed their interest in advance in building mutual ties to provide educational, research and scientific opportunities," said Dr. Kheradmand.
Further, Dr. Nasl Seraji, educational Vice-dean of International Campus, Dr. Mohammadreza Hadian, Dean of Postgraduate Studies of International Campus, Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Ghasemi, director of International Relations & Accreditation, Dr. Shabani, Director of International Affairs and Development have responded questions asked by the delegation regarding student/faculty member exchange, joint research programs, special short-term academic programs and training activities specially in Nursing & Midwifery and the process of Students Admission.
Dr. Khalis Sabri Ammoo, Dean of School of Medicine expressed his intention to send students to TUMS in order to pass short-term certificate programs, and to run different research projects for specialty, subspecialty and fellowships. In addition, Dr. Nahida Mahmud Ahmad, Dean of School of Nursing expressed her gratitude to Dr. Kheradmand and his team and asked them to facilitate running the short-term dental nursing, since they don’t have any in University of Duhok. Finally, the Memorial gifts were exchanged between the two parties.
