A delegation from KRG University of Duhok visited Brain & Spinal Injury Research Center, affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), on June 30, 2013, to study the areas of scientific bilateral collaboration.

Upon an invitation by TUMS Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs (GSIA), the distinguished delegate Dr. Adil Talib Mohammed, Head of Basic Sciences, Dr. Nahida Mahmud Ahmad, Dean of School of Nursing, Dr. Khalis Sabri Ammoo, Dean of School of Medicine, Dr. Hishyar Mohammed Salih Hussein Garmavy, Head of the Duhok School of Pharmacy paid a one-day visit to TUMS Brain & Spinal Injury Research Center.

The one-day tour was designed to provide the guests with ea visit to Brain & Spinal Injury Research Center which is also the Iranian Spinal Cord Injuries Research Network. The delegate visited facilities and newly invented technologies in the Center and to get familiar with center's programs and activities. 

After giving a comprehensive explanation on activities to improve spinal damages with cell processing in Clean Rooms, Dr. Hadian, the faculty member of the Center, referred to the scientific collaboration established with several international universities during past years. "There’s nothing quite like an academic visit to our Research Center to get a true sense of our energetic staff, countless activities, numerous patients in order to open new horizons in curing spinal injuries, to treat post traumatic paralysis by surgical cell therapy and bringing about hopes to all the suffering patients," said Dr. Hadian.
