Training of International Students at Kazeroun Health Research Station

During the summer 2013 (29 August-13 September) a total of 21 students (15 international MPH students and 6 PhD students of Epidemiology) at School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences paid a visit to Kazeroun Health Research Station to do their activities for field training. This training course lasted for 2 weeks, and participants did their workshop under the supervision of Prof. Holakoii from School of Public Health.

School of Public Health 

The Kazeroun Health Research Station has good facilities including Malaria Laboratory, Leishmania Laboratory, Insecticide evaluation laboratory, Insectary for rearing malaria and other vectors, well-equipped classrooms, library, well-equipped laboratory with microscopes and binoculars. The station also provides full accommodation for the participants. The boarding and lodging is the responsibility of School of Public Health. During the field visit, all the participants get familiar with the Health System infrastructures in Kazerun county. Furthermore they survey on 10 most important social-health priorities in the region. Meanwhile, they pay a visit from monumental sites.
