Department of Sports and Exercise Medicine of TUMS was selected as FIMS Collaborating Center of Sports Medicine (CCSM).

Accordingly, this department will be licensed to develop FIMS accredited educational courses, such as team physician developing course (TPDC), team physician advanced course (TPAC), sport rehabilitation course and … in Iran and Middle East. Running joint scientific symposiums at FIMS biannual congresses, promoting mentoring model applicable to developing countries, engaging an international network in collaborative research efforts, and supporting FIMS in the fight against doping, are among the other missions of these centers.
