Meeting of Two Iraqi Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgeons from Baghdad Medical City with Dr. Jafarian, Head of Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplantation Division at Imam Khomeini Hospital

Dr. Wasim Khaleel Faraj and Dr. Hamid Ismael Jasim, GI surgeons from Baghdad Medical City, who are planning to establish a transplant center at Baghdad Medical City visited Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplantation Division of Imam Khomeini Hospital to familiarize themselves with the requirements for establishing a similar center in their country. They had already had a visit of Shiraz Transplant Research Center as well.

In this meeting Dr. Jafarian showed them Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplantation Division and explained the necessary equipments and staff to run such a center. Dr. Wasim Khaleel Faraj and Dr. Hamid Ismael Jasim were quite happy about the performance of this division.
