New TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs

At a ceremony on Sunday, November 5, 2017, held at TUMS Headquarters, participants from various TUMS offices and schools, as well as from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Science, Research, and Technology were present to express their personal and collective appreciation regarding the efforts of Dr. Arabkheradmand toward the realization of TUMS as an international university.

Dr. Arabkheradmand was hailed as the Architect of Internationalization at TUMS, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Dr. Kheradmand initiated various joint activities with this ministry and has definitely made TUMS the premier Iranian organization in the internationalization of higher education arena.

Preceding Dr. Arabkheradmand's speech, the audience gave a minute-long standing ovation, conveying their gratitude for his relentless efforts and progress. In his remarks, Dr. Arabkheradmand stated that today, the attitude of internationalization of university and higher education has been firmly established at TUMS, and the respective ministries have been and will be great companions down this path.

Dr. Kordi, the new TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs, also expressed his happiness for being a member of the TUMS family and continued, “The development of education, research and service provision depends on internationalization of the university, and it is not an option to choose but is a necessity.”

In the end, delivering a closing speech, Dr. Karimi, the newly-appointed TUMS Chancellor, added, “TUMS is the result of great people’s efforts during many years, and it is now our responsibility to continue their path. Primarily, by analyzing their efforts and the ensuing results”.

In the following, he awarded Dr. Arabkheradmand with the custom-made TUMS Medal, and officially introduced Dr. Kordi as the new TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs.
