TUMS and SEMUMS Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Following the meeting of macro-regional preparatory policy-making for medical sciences universities held at the conference hall of Semnan University of Medical Sciences (SEMUMS) on May 21, 2017, TUMS and SEMUMS signed a memorandum of understanding aiming to develop international collaborations.

 

The main purpose of this MoU is utilizing scientific, academic and research potentials of these universities to benefit both institutes to increase their active participation in the realm of internationalized higher education. Based on this agreement, each of these universities has the opportunity to access shared academic resources and facilities including laboratories, workshops and libraries. In addition, both parties will collaborate regarding holding of exhibitions, seminars, academic workshops as well as using student facilities of the two universities in order to recruit international students and faculty members.

 

Other subjects discussed in this meeting, revolve around the participation of faculty members and specialists of the universities in official meetings focusing on various topics of internationalization, student exchange in M.D., D.D.S. and other programs of the tertiary level, and holding short-term and long-term courses, which both parties agreed upon to pursue.

 

Following this meeting, Dr. Arabkheradmand, TUMS Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs and his executive advisor took a tour of Semnan University of Medical Sciences’ Specialized Clinic and School of Dentistry accompanied by the university’s Director of International Affairs.
