Kufa Delegation Met TUMS Chancellor/ Three MoUs Signed

On Wednesday, October 22, Deans of University of Kufa’s Schools of Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing Schools paid a visit to Tehran University of Medical Sciences, meeting with TUMS Chancellor, Dr. Jafarian; a meeting which concluded in the signing of three MoUs with TUMS Schools of Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing & Midwifery.

Also present in the meeting were Dr. Arabkheradmand, Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs, Dr. Nekoofar, Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking, Dr. Shabani, Director of International Affairs and Development, and Dr. Khaami, Vice-Dean for International Affairs at TUMS School of Dentistry.

During the meeting, officials from both universities emphasized on expanding academic collaborations, considering the familiarity of each country with language and culture of the other as a facilitating factor. 

Dr. Jafarian, pointing to the long history of TUMS as the first medical sciences university in Iran, added that the university is ready to accept Iraqi students for Ph.D. courses.

During their stay in Iran, the delegation visited TUMS School of Pharmacy and Tehran Heart Center. As the meeting draw to a close, three MoUs were signed between TUMS the University of Kufa.
