Women Laparoscopy Three-Month Training Program

Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in collaboration with Laparoscopy Training Center is holding a 3-month training program of women laparoscopy.

 

Course duration: 12 weeks

•  Workshop duration: 3 weeks
•  Clinical art duration: 9 weeks

1-Work shop program:

Two-week basic laparoscopy training

Sunday	Dr. Hosseini	Keeping a balance between hands and eyes (the alphabets and ring)
Monday	Arian Tandorost Corporation	Familiarity with instruments
	Dr. Tavakoli	Veress needle, trocar, a balance between hands and eyes
Tuesday	Chaian  Teb Corporation	Different laparoscopy knots
	Dr. Rezaei	The balance between hands and eyes, laparoscopy without hands on moulage, countering (theory)
Wednesday	Dr. Ashegh	Different laparoscopy Knots

One-week advanced laparoscopy training

2) one-week women’s surgery program in Arash women’s Hospital:

• 7:30-8:00: visiting laparoscopy division accompanying a fellow.
• 8:00 – 9:00: attending morning report program and round with ward professor and discuss the operation of that day.
• 9:00-13:00: attending surgery room (observer).
• 13:00-15:30: once a week journal club, once a week theoretical class or case report, continuing operation in the other 3 days and attendance in surgery.
• It is obligatory from the third week to attend in ward based on assigned times, working on pelvic trainer & teaching suturing.

At the end participants have done the following activities:

• Infer lap infertility
• Diagnostic Laparoscopy
• TL
• Ovarian cyst
• Pco-treatment
• Adhesiolysis

• The participants get a certificate from the Office of Vice-Chancellor for Global Strategies and International Affairs at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

Requirements:

• This is a post graduate program and the participants should be general surgeons.
• The applicants are requested to submit TUMS online application form to apply for this program.
• Regular attendance: 7:30 -16:00
• Transportation is on participant (from Laparoscopy Training Center to Arash Hospital).
• Course Fee: $5000
• The food expense is on participant (you can call and order from a nearby restaurant).
