Erasmus+ program offers opportunities for students and staff to study and teach/train in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Europe. This is known as International Credit Mobility (ICM) and this is an activity under Key Action 1 (KA107), Erasmus+ program. Under mobility agreement signed between TUMS and International Helenic University (IHU), one TUMS B.Sc. student and one academic member are able to study and teach at International Helenic University, Greece for five months (student) and one week (academic member). All TUMS B.Sc. students and faculty members at School of Nursing and Midwifery are welcome to apply for this position.

Applicants are expected to carefully read all the information before proceeding to fulfill and submit their applications.

Students

Type of Mobility, Number of Grants and Duration

Under this Mobility and for this call, one TUMS B.Sc. student in the field of Nursing is able to study at IHU (Greece) for five months. After the mobility phase, the student returns to the sending institution (TUMS) to complete their studies and get recognition for the obtained credits.

Application

The candidates shall hand their application request and the required documents to the International Relations Office of TUMS School of Nursing and Midwifery (Ms. Zeinab Hashemzadeh available at nursing_intl@sina.tums.ac.ir and 02161054120 - 02161054122).

Evaluation and Selection of Applications

The selection process at TUMS will meet the following criteria:

  • Average grade
  • Academic performance
  • Language competencies
  • Letter of Motivation
  • Other social and volunteering experiences

Funding

The grants offered to students in the Erasmus+ Mobility between Program and Partner Countries are merely a contribution to bearing the additional cost of the stay abroad and do not cover all the expenses.

The Erasmus+ ICM Key Action (KA) 107 programme will pay the grantee an amount of 850 €/month for the duration of mobility to the IHU. With this money, the grantee will have to pay for accommodation, meals and other expenses. If the mobility is for five months, the grantee has to be present at IHU for five complete months. If leaving one day before, he/she will not be complying with Erasmus regulation and should pay back all the grant.

The grantee will also receive a single and fix payment for travel expenses once arrived at IHU, calculated according to the distance between TUMS and the IHU appearing below. You can calculate the distance in the Distance Calculator here.

Important Notes:

All Applicants have to apply for the visa; IHU will send the acceptance letter in due time for this purpose.

Grantees must have a Learning Agreement signed by home (TUMS) and host universities (IHU), before starting the mobility period. These agreements define the target learning outcomes for the learning period abroad, specify the formal recognition provisions and list the rights and obligations of each party.

Students have to attend the lectures as approved in the learning agreement of the program, and commit himself/herself to inform the host and home universities, in case of an earlier departure.

Staff

Under this Mobility and for this call, one TUMS Faculty member is able to teach at IHU (Greece) for one week.

Funding
