Dental Implant Research Center
| About the Center |
The Dental Implant Research Center focuses on advancing knowledge and innovation across the full translational spectrum of dental implantology _____ from basic and laboratory science to preclinical/clinical studies and product commercialization. The center strengthens foundational and laboratory-based research on the biological mechanisms of dental implants and biomaterials, aiming to generate new scientific knowledge and develop novel technologies in the field. It expands systematic preclinical and clinical studies to improve treatment quality, enhance patient safety, and increase the effectiveness of dental interventions. The center also supports the translation of research findings into applied technologies and products, building the necessary infrastructure for commercializing research outcomes in oral and dental health. In addition, it promotes the use of artificial intelligence methods in dental research, supporting the analysis of research data, clinical decision-making, improved diagnostic processes, and the development of novel digital health technologies in dentistry. The center's research pathway is structured in three sequential stages: basic/laboratory research, preclinical and clinical studies, and product development/commercialization _____ ensuring a coherent pipeline from scientific discovery to clinical and market application.

| Collaboration Opportunities |
The Dental Implant Research Center welcomes national and international collaboration across all stages of its research pipeline in dental implantology. Opportunities include joint research projects spanning basic/laboratory science, preclinical studies, and clinical trials on dental implants and related biomaterials; collaborative development and validation of AI-based tools for diagnostics, treatment planning, and digital health applications in dentistry; technology development and commercialization partnerships to translate research findings into applied clinical products; and academic exchange through visiting scholars, joint supervision of postgraduate research, and faculty/student exchange programs. The center is also open to industry partnerships aimed at co-developing novel implant technologies and materials, as well as multi-center clinical studies to strengthen the evidence base for implant-related interventions. The center's multidisciplinary team — spanning oral & maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, and periodontology — provides a strong foundation for collaborative, translational research with partners worldwide.
