Program Descrption:
A Short training course of the PCNL (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy)
Objectives:

- Learn to perform PCNL surgery
Partial Goals
- Training and selection of patients for PCNL surgery
- Supervision for learning PCNL surgery
- Learn to perform PCNL surgery in the presence of Professor
- Learning to follow up on patients after PCNL surgery
- Introduction to surgical instruments
Admission Requirements
General Reguirements: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetn: Degree in Urology Specialty by one of the Iranian or foreign universities.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved Urology Specialty program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
The deadline for:
- September intake is June 31
- Fabruay intake is October 31
- May intake is January 31.
Education Fees:
500$ for 3 months.
A scholorship is available for all applicants from Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Duration:
Duration of this program is equal to 3-6 Months.
Program Course:
This course will be divided into two groups of 3 (extended for 6 months) based on the choice and requirements of the applicant in both the Cognitive and Skills categories.
- In the theory part, 20 hours of surgery training will be given.
- In the practical part, the practitioner is trained in the operating room and will be trained 12 hours a week during surgery.
- This training is conducted under the supervision of the professor and the corresponding Fellow.
- All training course procedures will be conducted under the supervision of the professor and the relevant Fellow.
