Program Descrption:
The theme of this educational event is "Clinical and histopathological features of common skin diseases". The main course would be attending in Razi hospital outpatient clinic and pathology ward with more than 100 skin disease pathology slides.
Objectives:
The aim of the program is development of a thorough knowledge of the common skin, its appendages and mucous membranes diseases, and the acquisition of clinical and technical skills in the diagnosis and histopathological features of diseases related to the skin.
At completion of training, an attendance must have a useful knowledge and understanding of:
- Clinical skills in diagnosing common cutaneous disease (skin, mucous membranes and appendages) by the use of history, physical examination and pertinent investigative procedures
- The formulation of an appropriate differential and provisional diagnosis
- Dermatopathology and immunodermatopathology
Duration:
Duration of this program is equal to 6 days.
First course between 30th November and 5th December 2019
Admission Requirements
General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requirement: Although the winter school is primarily directed to young dermatologists and residents of Dermatology, it will also serve as a refresher for more experienced community and hospital-based colleagues.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved Dermatology Specialty program or current Dermatology residency and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
The deadline for:
- November 2019 intake is November 10
- May 2020 intake is March 31.
