Program Description:
It is an advance training program to teach cardiac congenital interventions and angiography in pediatric cases for pediatric cardiologist. It is not an observational course and the applicant can be involved in the procedures.
Objectives:
1) Performing diagnostic angiographies (simple or complex) independently under supervision
2) Performing simple cardiac interventions independently under supervision
3) Performing complex cardiac interventions depending on the number of cases during the program period under supervision
4) Participating in Joint Cardiology Conferences
Admission Requirements
General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requirement:
Eligible applicants:
- Pediatric cardiologists
- Adult cardiac intervention fellowship
- Adult congenital heart diseases fellowship
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved Pediatric Cardiology or Adult cardiology program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
The deadline for:
- April 2020 intake is January 20
- September 2020 intake is June 20.
Tuition Fee: 5000 US$
Duration: 6 months
Program Course:
The program is a complete combination of all fields necessary for the pediatric cardiology including basic and semi advanced echocardiography, interventional cardiology.
The program is planned for total 6 months in interventional cardiology and angiography center including 2 month rotation in CICU and echocardiography.

Direct involvement in the procedure.
