Program Description:

Hematopathology fellowship is one of the most important and oldest programs derived from pathology. This fellowship was developed in advanced countries many years ago because of the importance and prevalence of blood and lymphatic diseases as well as their diversity and difficulties in diagnosis.

Nowadays, the laboratory diagnosis of some of these diseases is still very difficult, and needs a lot of experience, therefore, additional fellowship training is quite essential for correct diagnosis. The significant progress in the classification of lymphomas and leukemias and use of new methods for diagnosis made us to develop a separate program in this discipline. Launching this discipline plays an important role in providing health services in diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of patients.
