Program Description:
During the past three decades, we have witnessed the rapid progress and improvement of technology in Laparascopy field. Furthermore, techniques and indications of surgery with endoscopy are evolving. The use of lightweight high-resolution cameras for gynecology laparoscopies has enhanced the ability to observe pelvis during complex surgical procedures. As endoscopic surgeries have increased during the past few years, it is essential to train specialists and set purposeful policies to train them in this field. After confirming the necessity of this course in the fellowship policy-making committee on September 8th, 2010, a committee was formed to develop the fellowship curriculum. This committee developed the present curriculum and after passing legal procedures, it was delivered to the universities. We are looking forward to receive suggestions of experts and will use them in reviewing the next version of this curriculum.
