Program Description:
Based on Estimates done, There is 15 % prevalence of infertility in IRI. Since the population is over 70 million, and young people comprise a high percentage of this population, this issue becomes very important. In addition to the emotional and psychological impact, it incurs huge costs to the country and health system.
After Islamic Revolution , infertility centers were established in Iran and their scientific promotion ensued in order to train fellows in infertility field. Subsequently, in 2009, the Secretary of the Council of Graduate Medical Education decided to develop curricula for fellowship Program
Definition
Infertility fellowship program is a subset of obstetrics and gynecology field. This program is characterized with managing, screening and investigating of the causes of infertility. After diagnosis, the appropriate treatment approach, such as medical, surgical, (assisted reproductive techniques) will be selected and applied.
Objectives:
1-Training of knowledgeable, competent and committed people in the field of infertility. These people provide the community with their knowledge and expertise in the areas of prevention, diagnosis and treatment, education and research.

Admission Requirements
General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetns: Holding an M.D. or M.B.B.S. degree. Having and approved specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology received in Iran or abroad.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved related Degree program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
However, the deadline for the September intake is June 31.
