Program Description:
Cardiovascular diseases are one of the main causes of mortality in different communities and have a progressive trend in most regions of the world. Following developments in recent decades in the field of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures, therapeutic approaches that used to be limited to medical treatments and heart surgery have gradually changed. These methods have moved toward using non-surgical invasive percutaneous procedures. These procedures are now widely used in all parts of the cardiovascular system, including coronary artery, peripheral vessels, heart valves, and thoracoabdominal aorta. They have led to the establishment of a specific training course as cardiovascular interventional measures for adults.
Considering above mentioned facts, we developed a higher level curriculum in the field of interventional cardiology procedures for adults, and issued the curriculum to the universities.
