Program Description:
Cardiovascular Specialty and Subspecialty Training Programs are mainly about Prevention, Treatment, Post interventional or post treatment Care. Regarding High Probability of Mortality and Morbidity due to cardiac diseases, in recent 3 decades, there has been a special Attention to these courses in the world and likewise in our Country, resulting in magnificent changes in these courses including changes in management as well as technology and Facilities.
Objectives:
At the end of the program learners will be competent in the following skills:
• Performing imaging procedures
• Labeling the radiopharmaceuticals required in nuclear medicine
• Setting the nuclear medicine and imaging devices
• Performing different therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals
• Performing imaging stress tests
• Performing needle biopsy of the thyroid
• Using gamma probes to examine the sentinel lymph nodes or tumors
Duration:
The Cardiology program lasts at least 4 years.
Admission Requirements
General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetns: Degree in General Physicians (M.D) or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) by one of the Iranian or foreign universities.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved general physician program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
However, the deadline for the September intake is June 31.
