Program Description:
The advancement of medical sciences in all fields, including disease prevention, early detection even in the fetal period, and extensive treatment immediately after birth, are one of the major achievements in recent years. Plastic surgery and its branches have greatly benefitted from these advancements. Craniofacial surgery is one of the branches of plastic surgery that has made considerable progress over the last five decades.
Before the commencement of a fellowship Training Program in craniofacial surgery, most plastic surgeons went abroad for fellowship courses; however after beginning in IRI, this trend nearly ended. In accordance with the Vision 1404 ,it is necessary that this field be managed independently as a subspecialty of plastic surgery. In this regard, IRI will be the first country in the Persian Gulf region and in Asia to commence fellowship courses in this Program.
In addition, many patients who do not receive standard treatment will be able to receive services on the basis of a principled framework and global scientific standards.
Objectives:
To train specialists who are knowledgeable, competent, responsible, and sensitive to the health of individuals and society in the field of craniofacial surgery.
Admission Requirements
General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetns: Holding an M.D. or M.B.B.S. degree. Having and approved Specialty in Craniofacial Surgery received in Iran or abroad
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved related Degree program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
