Program Description:

Food safety and hygiene is a multidisciplinary field aimed at providing consumers with a high-quality food product, free of microbial and chemical contaminants. Increase of microbial and chemical pollutants in the environment, natural toxins in food, excessive use of chemical nitrogen fertilizers, chemical additives, pesticides, excessive use of drugs to increase production of livestock and poultry products, disposal of non-sanitary waste Industrial wastewater and as a result soil contamination with chemical toxins and heavy metals can threaten the health of food products, whether plant or animal. Food safety and hygiene also focuses on the analytical and toxicological aspects, in addition to risk analysis and management. Food safety has become increasingly important due to the globalization of the food supply chain and increased international trade. Therefore, in order to achieve healthy food and reduce its many side effects, people are needed who with categories such as: Microbial and chemical food contamination, food safety and quality control, permitted additives including preservatives, flavorings, modifiers, textures Familiarize themselves with colors, sweeteners and sweeteners, identify toxins and poisonings, acquire the relevant capabilities and use them to ensure, maintain and promote the health of the community. For this purpose, the field of food safety and hygiene has been trained in programs of Msc and Ph.D. The new route Ph.D in Food Safety and Hygiene can be an important educational program for students apart from teaching and conducting research to serve and identify the needs of the society and solving its problems in this field.

- Training of human resources in order for the society to have access to safety and healthy food

- Use of new health sciences in the supply of Safety and hygienic foods to reduce foodborne illness.

- Utilizing knowledgeable and expert people in developing national standards in the field of food safety and hygiene

- Utilizing knowledgeable and specialized drummers in education, research, management and planning and promoting of food safety and hygiene

- Promoting food safety and hygiene health knowledge in the community
