Program Description:
Due to significant progress of knowledge and technology in recent years, dermatology has undergone considerable development. Using laser technology in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases; changes in disease distribution patterns such as metabolic diseases, infectious diseases, and emerging diseases with various cutaneous pictures and substantial developments in immunology that have a close relationship to dermal diseases, emergence of new methods of diagnosis and treatment, and new pharmaceutical products all made the revision of dermatology curriculum necessary.
Objectives:
At the end of the program learners will be competent in the following skills:
- Biopsy of skin and nails
- Minor surgery
- Laser therapy
- Phototherapy management
- Photodynamic therapy for skin lesions
- Cryosurgery
- Cutaneous intra lesion injection
- Sterilization process
- Curettage and cauterization
- Body hair transplantation
- Patch test
- Electrolysis
- Nail surgery
- Subcision
- Chemical peeling
- Botulinum toxin injections
- Fillers injection
- Derm abrasion
- Sal abrasion
- Cutaneous grafts less than 1 cm
- Dermoscopy
- Tzanck and Pathergy test
- Mesotherapy
- Mohs surgery
- Fat transfer
- Sclerotherapy
- Liposuction for lipofilling

4 years full-time (48Months)
Admission Requirements
General Reguirements: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetn: Degree in General Physicians (M.D) or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) by one of the Iranian or foreign universities.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved general physician program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
However, the deadline for the September intake is June 31.

Defense of the dissertation:
