Program Description:
This fellowship course has been designed for the first time at the University of Tehran for orthodontics graduates to give a grounding in advanced training and skills regarding the special treatment and care to patients with craniofacial anomalies.
Objectives:
- Preoperative orthopedics (nasoalveolar molding for infants with cleft lip and palate)
- Management of orthodontic treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate or craniofacial anomalies from the stage of deciduous teeth to the adulthood
- orthodontic and surgical treatment planning , performing orthodontic treatment before and after surgery, designing and fabricating surgical splints
Admission Requirements
General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.
Specific Requiremetns: Degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) or Degree in Orthodontists by one of the Iranian or foreign universities.
The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved general physician program and should be proficient in English or Persian.
Admission Deadline
Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.
However, the deadline for the September intake is June 31.
