Program Description:

Over the recent decades with the advent of new tools and technologies a massive change had occurred in health care service delivery. Despite the traditional face to face health service delivery, Tele-health solutions aim to provide service between physicians, patients, nurses and other healthcare providers in rural places, pandemic situation or other special cares.

This interdisciplinary and comprehensive course provides practical knowledge and skills in order to deliver virtual and efficient solutions for different healthcare needs. Tele-Health one-year course allows you to explore technical, clinical, financial and legal aspects of Tele-health implementation.

 

Definition of the Program:

“Tele-Health” refers to the use of Information and Communication Technology, to care for the health in order to provide services and support the patient or caregiver, when there is a geographical distance between the two groups of providers and recipients of medical services.

 "Tele-Health" is one of the interdisciplinary fields of studies and a set of educational and applied activities that use the skills, tools and knowledge, resulting from the synergy and interaction between Medical Sciences, Computer Sciences and Information and Communication Technology. This field also involves implement and employment of the necessary solutions to provide medical health services, especially for remote, inaccessible and impassable places.

Admission Requirements

General Requirement: To apply for this program, you will need to fulfill a number of requirements, which can be found in the Graduate Admission Requirements.

Specific Requiremetns:   

General Doctorate graduates (Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry)

Graduates of B.Sc. in Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Emergencies (Pre-hospital Emergencies) from reputable universities, inside or outside Iran.

The eligible candidate should have successfully completed an approved general physician program and should be proficient in English or Persian.

Admission Deadline

Tehran University of Medical Sciences has a rolling application system and reviews student applications all year round.

However, the deadline for the September intake is June 31.
