Program Description:
Nursing Management is a branch of nursing that focuses on the management of nurses and patient care standards. For centers such as hospitals, clinics and care centers, where nurses provide services, a strong and effective nursing management is vital (Yoder-Wise, 2019). Graduates of this program are being prepared for the role of nursing management to ensure high-quality performance in patient care and support the performance of nurses, student education and research culture development (LL University, School of Nursing, 2020).
Nursing management is responsible for supervising nursing staff in hospitals and clinical environments. Nursing managers supervise patient care, make management and budget decisions, set work schedules, coordinate meetings, make decisions about nursing staff, and all these actions aim to improve the quality of nursing care. Nursing managers are required to combine clinical and nursing skills with leadership and management skills and through this, act creatively in solving the problems (Duquesne University, School of Nursing, 2020). Nursing Management is an independent profession with the aim of providing legal, ethical and quality nursing care services to meet the needs of patients.
Objectives:
The general goal is to train graduates who are able to work as a team member with other health team members, through making the right decisions, solving conflicts and problems, change management and effective communication with health team members and time management in order to achieve these goals:
Improving care standards and achieving the goals of the health system at different levels and centers of the health system,
Improving the professional performance and increasing the capabilities of nurses,
Reducing the costs of the health system, growth and productivity in providing nursing services, and
Improving the quality of life of nursing staff and the satisfaction of clients.

- Communication skills (establishing ethical communication with patients and their families, colleagues, students)
- Interdepartmental interaction (establishing effective organizational communication with health team members)

- Critical thinking (criticism of the health services providing system for patients and their families at micro and macro levels)
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills and providing necessary solutions

- Management and organizational skills (checking, planning, organizing, evaluating, leading and nursing forces in order to improve the quality of nursing care)
