Ms. Yasmin Khan, the IMPH student at the school of public health, defended her thesis on July 12, 2014. Her thesis title is " Assessing th wellbeing of School going adolescents aged 12 to 18 years and its correlation with different categories of physical activity in Gilgit city, Pakistan.". Mr.Shahid Khan's Thesis Defense

Mr. MD Shahid Khan, the physiotherapy student at M.Sc. level, defended his thesis on 12 July 2014. His thesis title is " A Comparison of the Falls Efficacy Scale-international with Berg Balance Scale to Evaluate the Risk of Falls in Post Stroke Patients". This study compares two different standard tests which have been designed to measure risk of falls. Shahid Khan's supervisors were Dr. M.R. Hadian and Dr. Oliaie ; the advisors were Dr.Tafakhori and Dr. Yegani Nejad. Other jury members were Dr. Bagheri, Dr.Saraf Zadeh and Dr. Malmir. The thesis was carefully examined by the jury members and MD Shahid Khan could successfully defend his thesis.

Mr. Rasooli's Thesis Defense

Mr. Asadullah Rasooli, the IMPH student at the school of public health, defended his thesis on July 22, 2014. His thesis title is "A Study of Knowledge and Attitude toward Tuberculosis among Tuberculosis Patients Seeking Help in Diagnostic and Treatment Centers, Kabul, Afghanistan, 2014". The thesis is about main factors involved in insight and attitude of TB patient (male and female) in Kabul. The supervisor for this thesis was Dr. Holakooie and advisors were Dr.Noori and Dr. Ahmad Nejad. Mr. Rasooli could successfully defend his thesis and we hope this study can be a good reference in improving health care for TB patients in Afghanistan.
